Rain-seeking prayer held across Saudi Arabia

Muslims across Saudi Arabia performed the rain-seeking prayer in accordance with the Prophetic Sunnah. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques had called for the prayer for Thursday.
In Makkah, the prayer performed in the Grand Mosque was attended by Makkah Governor Prince Khalid Al-Faisal. In Madinah, the prayer was performed at the Prophet’s Mosque and was attended by Deputy Governor of Madinah Abdulmohsen bin Mohammed Al-Muneef.
At Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in the capital, the prayer was led by Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Asheikh, the Kingdom’s grand mufti. Riyadh Governor, Prince Faisal bin Bandar, was also in attendance.
The prayer was also performed in other regions and attended by governors and senior officials.
In their sermons, the preachers urged Muslims on praying to Allah for repentance and forgiveness; doing good and charitable deeds; and supplicating for rainfall.
