New visa benefits for Saudi-friendly firms

The recently introduced fast-track recruitment system is a reward for private firms that fulfill the Saudization quota, an official of the Ministry of Labor said here recently.
The system allows firms to utilize the new system where the visa issuance and hiring of workers can be done online, Abdullah Al-Alyan, director general at the ministry’s branch in Makkah, was quoted as saying by local media.
Explaining the system during a workshop here, Al-Alyan said the ministry appreciates the efforts of establishments which have proved their commitment to the nationalization plan.
He said the ministry has “prepared a transparent and computerized system of reward services that the facilities (firms) deserve for their efforts, without any human intervention, to stress fairness.”
The official said the e-recruitment system will provide firms with necessary support and affordable services, besides clarity. “They (firms) will immediately know the status of visas through governmental agencies according to requirements and conditions.”
He said: “The governmental portal aims to provide visas directly to the parties it contracted as the application is electronically studied, thus enabling a faster visa process.”
Al-Alyan said the new program targets companies in the Platinum and Green Nitaq with its three medium, middle and high zones that are approved by the government. “The facility should have a valid license, unless the facility is on the exception list,” he added.
