El Zamalek Striker Basem Morsi scored twice to help his club beat arch-rivals Al-Ahly on Monday and get crowned Egypt’s Cup champions in their first domestic double since 1988.
The win also ended Zamalek’s eight-year Ahly jinx and marked their third consecutive cup win.
Ahly’s loss also marked the first time since 2004 where it ended a season without either a league or cup champion’s title.
