Two elderly Saudi women died from Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus virus (MERS-CoV) Sunday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.  The Health Ministry reported that the victims were aged 71 and 68.

On Sunday, a new case of MERS developed in a 27-year old female expat, making the number of MERS cases 1253.  She is reported to be in a stable condition.
