
The Acting Information Spokesman of Police in Makkah region has said that one of the security patrol cars was fired on from an unidentified car on Sunday night in Jeddah, which resulted in the non- life-threatening injury to one policeman, reported Saudi Press Agency.
Investigations were underway to track down the assailants, it added.
The deadliest attack on Saudi security forces occurred on August 6 when a suicide bomber detonated an explosives-packed vest in a mosque within the grounds of a police headquarters in the southern city of Abha, killing 15 people.
A Saudi policeman was shot dead on July 3 during a raid in which three people were arrested and ISIS flags were found.
