The Kingdom is participating with 13 Saudi films in the 5th session of CAM International Festival for Short Films that has started today (Monday) in Cairo and will continue until Oct. 17, 2015, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said.
The Kingdom is the guest of honor in the festival. This is an unprecedented accomplishment for Saudi art and it is the first time that Saudi Arabia is participating with so many works outside the Kingdom. Sultan Al-Bazei, chairman of the board of directors of the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Art is scheduled to be honored in the festival’s inauguration ceremony.
Omar Muhammad Al-Jasser, director general of the culture and arts society in Jeddah, expressed happiness on selecting the Kingdom as the guest of honor of the film festival’s fifth session.
Eighty short films from 22 Arab and European countries are participating in the CAM International Festival for Short Films this year.
