The Senate President of Nigeria, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, announced on Twitter that he had met with Saudi Prince Khalid Abdullahi and the Advisory Council of Saudi Arabia in order to tackle terrorism in both Nigeria and Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.

Prince Khalid Abdullahi strongly condemned terrorist activity by Boko Haram and stated that Saudi Arabia shares a similar threat of insurgency by terrorist groups.  The Saudi prince reassured Saraki that Saudi Arabia is ready to collaborate with Nigeria in preventing and curbing terrorism.

Saraki suggests that the visit by the Saudi Arabian Advisory Council was of good timing considering the loss of life suffered by Nigerian pilgrims performing Hajj this year.  The Senate President encouraged the Saudi Advisory Council to improve transportation and travelling arrangements between the two states.  Prince Khalid Abdullahi promised that Saudi Arabia would work to prevent any future incidents of this nature.
