
BEIRUT, Nov 4 (Reuters) – Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri resigns as concerns of his life mount due to increasing threats on his life.
The Hezbullah & Iran critic has been concerned that he might face the same fate as his father due to this outspoken policy towards Iranian backs organizations within his country.
Lebanese President Michel Aoun’s office said on Saturday that Saad al-Hariri had phoned him “from outside Lebanon” to resign as the country’s prime minister and that Aoun awaited Hariri’s return to hear the “circumstances of the resignation”. (Reporting by Angus McDowall; editing by Alexander Smith)
