King in Mina to oversee Haj operation

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman arrived in Mina on Wednesday evening to oversee the Kingdom’s Haj operation. The King will personally monitor the comfort of pilgrims and supervise the services and facilities being rendered to them so as to enable them to perform their rituals with ease, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

On arrival at Mina Palace from Jeddah, the King was received by Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, deputy premier, minister of interior and chairman of the Supreme Haj Committee, Prince Miteb Bin Abdullah, minister of the National Guard, and several other princes, ministers and senior civilian and military officials.

King Salman has issued orders to host a number of Yemeni Haj pilgrims in response to a request from the Yemeni government. The King has entrusted the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Work to supervise the hosting of pilgrims, who are now performing Haj.

Meanwhile, the King sent cable of greetings to kings, presidents and rulers of several Arab and Muslim countries on the occasion of the Eid Al-Adha festival, which begins on Thursday. Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, and Deputy Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, second deputy premier and minister of defense, also sent similar cables.
