Municipal inspectors here seized a huge quantity of fake Zamzam ready for sale from a group of expatriate residents.
Head of Uhud Municipality Awad Al-Tamimi said the inspectors grew suspicious on spotting a truck full of empty water bottles and followed the truck, which led them to a warehouse where the bottles were filled with regular water to be sold as Zamzam.
The municipality shut down the warehouse, arrested the expatriates and seized the truck and other items from the warehouse.
