Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry confirmed that Egyptian-Saudi relations are “at its best”, strongly denying the lack of differences between the two countries as reported by some media outlets.

The Egyptian minister said in an exclusive statement that allegations of differences between Cairo and Riyadh are “not true, because there are no differences between the two sister states of Egypt and Saudi Arabia.”

Shoukry explained, “relations are developing day after day,” pointing out that there will be more economic and military cooperation between the two countries during the next phase, “This is the most prominent response to all the rumors about the existence of differences.”

Shoukry and the Saudi-Egyptian Coordination Council will not only serve the common interests between the two countries, but aim to serve the entire Arab region through discussing pressing issues, finding solutions to regional issues, and developing ideas and to serve the countries of the region and the Middle East.

“Saudi Arabia is a main backer of Egypt since an immemorial time. We cannot forget the role the UAE, Kuwait and the role in the revolution of June 30, stressing that the Arab countries will not accept pressure from certain parties”, said Shoukry.
