Secretary Hammond said Saudi’s relationship with Britain is vital to Britain’s security and economic interests.  Saudi Arabia is currently the biggest buyer of British weapons, namely from BAE Systems, where millions of dollars are spent annually.

Saudi Ambassador to the UK, Mohammed bin Nawaf Al Saud, claimed that British media were talking about Saudi Arabia negatively and highlighted the benefits Britain gains from Saudi in a letter to the Telegraph.
