Saudi-led Arab coalition advancing on Sanaa

Gulf Arab coalition forces fighting Houthi militia in Yemen are progressively advancing on the capital in a two-pronged offensive, generals told reporters on Tuesday at a desert oil compound they have turned into a military base. Armed Yemeni tribesmen from the Popular Resistance Committees, supporting forces loyal to Yemen’s Saudi-backed fugitive President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi, gather in the Marib province, east of the capital Sanaa, on September 15, 2015. Yemeni loyalist forces, backed by the Saudi-led Arab coalition, said they were advancing in the key province east of Sanaa, on the third day of a major offensive against rebels.
