
Arab foreign ministers in Cairo today stressed rejection of Iran’s attempts to interfere in the internal affairs of Arab countries.
In their speeches during the opening session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level, they stressed that the Palestinian issue is the key to stability in the region, deploring Israeli violations in occupied Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Arab ministers reiterated unconditional and full support for constitutional legitimacy in Yemen, represented by President Abdrabbu Mansour Hadi.
At the conclusion of a session in Cairo, the Council expressed full support for the military action carried out by the Arab Coalition forces.
The Council strongly condemned the treacherous targeting of one of the Arab coalition camps in Yemen by Houthi rebels. It expressed condolence to the leaders of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.
The Saudi-led coalition said late on Sunday that five Saudi soldiers were on the border with Yemen.
The statement, carried by the Saudi Press Agency, said they died “in the line of duty while protecting the nation’s borders.”
The Joint Forces Command named the killed soldiers as Sergeant Fahd Abdullah Al-Qahtani of the ground forces, and Corporal Mohammad Jubran Al-Qahtani, soldier Yahya Ghlais Alhdri, soldier Salim Awadh Al-Qahtani and soldier Ali Mohammed al-Qahtani of the Border Guards.
“They fell during the performance of their duty to protect the borders of the homeland against aggressors along the southern frontier sector of Najran,” said the statement.
