German airline Lufthansa sees the Middle East as a chance for growth, namely Saudi Arabia and Oman. As sanctions on Iran have recently eased up, Lufthansa are aiming to tap into ‘interesting growth markets’ by offering premium services such as a restaurant service in Business Class.

Lufthansa will also offer a new ‘Premium Economy’ class on all Gulf flights from 25 October 2015.

Euro Wings, the budget airline operated by Lufthansa, will attract interest due to its low cost and structure, according to the regional director for the Gulf, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan, Karsten Zang.
